Worrigee Wind Winds up Comps

July 2021

The “August” winds came early this year and blew away many of our competition bowling days. The optimism of our bowlers was self evident as they battled the gales on at least three occasions only to be thwarted around 6 ends in by building blustery weather. On another two locations bowls was called off prior to the commencement once at 10.30 am to prevent people from wasting a trip to the club.

Havoc has been reaped on poor Jim Jamiesons timetables for both the Singles and Major Minor Pairs Championships both by the bad weather and then also by a regional NSW Lockdown due to the Covid Pandemic. It’s pretty much up to Bowls NSW now to extend the deadlines for Championship finals.
